Jazz Music – Bass/Valdambrini

Press review of the 70s

Article appeared in the magazine Musica Jazz (January 1970) entitled "Basso Valdambrini in the Lunar Age” with an interview with saxophonist Gianni Basso and trumpeter Oscar Valdambrini

About to enter the studio to work on a new record work in early 1970 the duo Basso / Valdambrini is interviewed by Gian Mario Maletto. The two musicians, among the most authoritative figures of Italian jazz, had recently participated in the Festivals Jazz in Milan, taking part in the Orchestras of Giorgio Gaslini and Gil Cuppini. Furthermore, Oscar Valdambrini, had figured, in the final evening of the event, in the orchestral formation of Duke Ellington.
