Enrico Pieranunzi and Bruno Tommaso have been teachers of the Siena Jazz seminars. In particular, Tommaso was responsible for two projects promoted as part of the summer seminars held in the Tuscan city: "L'Orchestra Laboratorio", organized with the aim of training and directing young musicians to group work and "L'Orchestra Giovanile Italiana" , advanced specialization course for instrumentalists and composer-arrangers. The following took part in the "Giovanile" as guests and conductors: the saxophonist and conductor Giancarlo Gazzani, the musicologist Marcello Piras, the clarinetist Gianluigi Trovesi, trombonist Giancarlo Schiaffini, drummer Peter Erskine, trombonist Rudy Migliardi and composer James Newton.

Contributions shared by Enrico Pieranunzi and excerpts from the book "The school I dreamed of" (written by Bruno Tommaso with Alfredo Gasponi).
