Logo of the associated independent labels Black Saint and Soul Note, born respectively in 1975 and 1979 on the initiative of the producer Giacomo Pellicciotti. The two labels (acquired in 2008 by Cam Jazz) were mainly specialized in the recording of musicians belonging to the free jazz and jazz avant-garde of Chicago and St. Louis in the United States and of Italian musicians such as Enrico Rava, Marcello Melis and Giorgio Gaslini. The Soul Note in particular has produced records by, among others, Enrico Pieranunzi, Tiziana Ghiglioni, Furio Di Castri, Paolo Fresu, Claudio Fasoli, Maurizio Giammarco, Roberto Ottaviano, Gianluigi Trovesi.
