In this video we will see a particularly useful exercise to make the beginning of a sentence more effective inimprovisation. By learning to think of each farce as if it were a pick-up from the following bar, we will in fact give our phrasing more tension and movement. We'll start by applying it to a simple turnaround, but it can be applied to any song or chord sequence.
