In memory of Giorgia Mileto, the Saint Louis promotes for the third consecutive year the Call for the assignment of scholarships to attend the I and II level academic courses of the Department of Jazz.
Saint Louis Giorgia Mileto Award allows young talented musicians, in the field of Jazz, to attend the pre-academic and academic courses of the first and second level of the Saint Louis with important discounts on the fee - from 40% up to 100% of the annual fee - for a value annual of each prize winner between 2,000 and 4,500 euros.
All musicians who have not reached the age of 28 within nd not later than 10 of June 2022 can participate in the Giorgia Mileto Award.
The prize will be divided into two categories:
Ordinary, all musicians who are under the age of 28 as of 10 June 2022 and who are over 17 years of age as of 10 June 2022.
Under 18, all musicians who have not turned 18 on 10 June 2022.
Scholarships will be awarded through auditions open to all instrument and singing courses of the Jazz Department.
To access the auditions, send an audio and / or video recording (preferable) of two songs (jazz standards and / or original jazz songs) played in a group (duo, trio, quartet, etc.). Based on the material received, a pre-selection of students admitted to the audition will be made.
The auditions will be held on June 27, 2022 with a resident band / orchestra in support of all candidates.
Saint Louis, which does not benefit from public contributions for its institutional activity, for the Giorgia Mileto Prize 2022 edition makes available a fund equal to € 20,000 of own resources.
Fill in the online form by June 5, 2022 indicating at least 2 links to your audio and / or audio-video performances. On the basis of the material received, the Commission will select the candidates for the subsequent auditions.
Deadline for submitting applications: from 20 April to 5 June 2022
Results of the Pre-selections: by 12 June 2022
Auditions for scholarship assignment: 27 June 2022 (location to be defined). The auditions will take place live, with a repertoire chosen by the candidate. The Commission may assign one or more compulsory pieces.
