Cultural Association

Non-profit for the dissemination, support and promotion of modern music.
Inside the Saint Louis there is an association of musicians, teachers, students and alumni that organizes numerous cultural and recreational activities with free participation, such as:

  • Two-year courses of Theory and Basic Solfeggio.
  • LabXchange, an ensemble music workshop held and directed by graduated or graduating students, periodically supervised by a Saint Louis teacher.
  • Free concert lessons with national and international musicians.
  • Resident orchestras with free participation, by audition only.
  • Gospel Choir, Jazz Choir, Pop Choir all free to participate.
  • History of Jazz, History of Rock, History and listening to classical music courses, Driving courses for listening to electronic music.
  • Discounts and agreements with shops, bars, clubs, auditoriums.
  • Free rehearsal room and study room for a maximum of 2 hours per day, up to 6 hours per week.

REGULATION

1 - Membership as an ordinary member of the Saint Louis Study Center gives you the right to participate free of charge in the numerous cultural, educational and artistic activities organized during the year as indicated above.

2 - The Centro Studi Saint Louis is a non-partisan and apolitical association and bases its associative structure on the principles of voluntariness without pursuing any profit aim with the aim of working for the best implementation of a program of cultural growth of the members and of deepening of the studies on modern music, on jazz residence, on electronic music and traditional Italian music.

3 - The Saint Louis Study Center exclusively pursues purposes of social solidarity in the context of the protection, promotion and enhancement of cultural heritage as well as the promotion of culture and art, in particular in order to ensure economic, civil and cultural support for the best expression of Italian jazz, popular, electronic, folk and contemporary musical culture, promoting its enhancement, recovery and restoration with the collection of public and private funds.

4 - Purely indicative and not exhaustive, the initiatives aimed at a

  • a) support training in the practice and theory of modern music, such as Jazz, popular, electronic, traditional and contemporary music; making use of the collaboration of experts and professionals;
  • b) recover and preserve the customs of the Italian musical cultural tradition, creating performances of compositions, new printed editions and promoting exhibitions, concerts, conferences, seminars, debates, forums;
  • c) preserve and pass on the forms of modern Italian and contemporary international music;
  • d) promote knowledge of this historical and cultural heritage in the city of Rome, offering the performance of concerts, events, festivals and reviews;
  • e) encourage the study and dissemination of the traditions referred to above among the inhabitants of Rome and Lazio and the training of musicians through the provision of scholarships;
  • f) support the cultural and social activity carried out by similar Conservatories and Institutions of Higher Musical Artistic Education;
  • g) to promote and support publishing and advertising activities, both on paper and multimedia, according to the purposes of the Saint Louis Study Center;
  • h) encourage the practice and meeting between young musicians with free rehearsal rooms for members;
  • i) enhance, promote and restore assets of artistic and historical interest in the musical field, such as scores, records, tapes, recordings, musical compositions as well as any other musical work of cultural interest.
