The Student Council is a body provided for in the Saint Louis Statute, from which we report an extract from art. 29 point d)

The Student Council can address requests and formulate proposals to the Director, the Academic Council and the Board of Directors with particular reference to educational organisation, artistic production and student services.

The Student Council is appointed by the Director or his delegate and is a non-onerous position.

The Student Council will be composed as follows:

  • from n. 3 (three) students where up to five hundred students are enrolled;
  • from n. 5 (five) students where up to one thousand five hundred students are enrolled;
  • from n. 9 (nine) students where up to two thousand students are enrolled;
  • from n. 11 (eleven) students where over two thousand students are enrolled.

The Saint Louis Board of Directors will ensure, within the limits of its budget, the means necessary to carry out the functions of the Student Council.
The Student Council meets at least once a year, at the beginning of the academic year also in telematic or videoconference mode.

The members of the Student Council remain in office for 3 years or expire following failure to renew enrollment in the academic year.

Representative of the Council: is appointed by a majority of the Student Council.

Once the consultation has chosen its representative, it will have to communicate the name to the Director.
The Representative of the Council participates once a year in the meetings of the Academic Council and the Board of Directors with merely consultative and propositional functions, with express exclusion of the right to vote pursuant to art. 20 of this Statute.

The Representative of the Committee may be called to further meetings upon explicit summons of the Board of Directors/Academic Council/Director or may request to be heard by the Board of Directors/Academic Council/Director to report on specific problems.

The Student Council is elected by all students enrolled in pre-academic and academic courses and renewed every two years. It is made up of a President and at least one representative for each Department.

Only students regularly enrolled in 1st or 2nd level academic courses in the current academic year can apply (constitutive electorate). The elections take place anonymously via a computer system and take place over three weeks. All students enrolled in pre-academic and academic courses of first and second level can exercise the right to vote (active electorate
