Three-year first cycle academic diploma that has its roots in jazz-blues and funk to explore the countless contaminationsand the kinship with Soul music, contemporary rock-blues, fusion, black music, neo-soul and pop music.
During the educational path the students get to develop the characteristics of the own personal style at the maximum potential, therefore the advanced technique, creativity, rhythmic sense, improvisation, comping and stylistic soloing, in perfect balance between Rock, Jazz-blues and Popular Music.
It is a limited students number course, open to a maximum of 10 students, coming from Saint Louis pre-academic courses or selected through audition.

Full-immersion study path structured to allow the students to face the styles of Popular Music from all possible angles, on the instrument, in ensemble, in improv groups, in orchestras or big bands, in the courses of arrangement and composition, practicing in the recording studios, in musical production. The best works of the students are published by the Camilla Record label and promoted in live concerts by Saint Louis Management.
Pop-rock Vocals
One-to-one vocals and pop-rock repertoire classes, with an educator of the student's choice
Professional Pop-Rock Ensemble
Different formations: from trios to great ensembles, to discover, analyze and play the traditional and contemporary international repertoire. The educator is the leader of the band and performs alongside the students in Clubs and Festival.s
Harmony studies and arrangement
Development of the current harmonic language and application in arrangements for real and virtual instruments and bands, realization of professional pre-productions of original student projects.
Rhythm Section and Recording studio
Practice in recording studio with the entire rhythm section.
Piano
Complementary studies of modern piano, for the impromptu reading of acronyms and melodies and for the development of comping, aimed to allow the vocalist being able to sing accompanying professionally on the piano
Music Production
The student will acquire full mastery in the professional use of music production state-of the-art softwares in the recording industry ..
Customization of the study plan
Customization of the student's study plan, with music labs, ensembles, orchestras, a second complementary instrument and research activities that stimulate interplay, creativity and the development of a personal music style, master classes with international artists and live performances in clubs, festivals and theatres.
Different formations: from trios to great orchestras, with the leading of educators that also take part of the band that will be taken to perform in Festivals and Clubs alongside famous musicians such as Lello Panico, Serena Brancale, Michele Papadia, Dario Zeno, Dario Giacovelli, Vincenzo Presta, Andrea Rosatelli, Stefano Sabatini, Antonio Solimene, Daniele Pomo.
Great orchestral formations with the best talented students who perform in theaters and festivals with internationally renowned artists. In recent years Special Guests such as Beppe Vessicchio, Paolo Fresu, Fabrizio Bosso, Antonella Ruggiero (Matia Bazar), Diodato, Tullio De Piscopo, Chiara Civello had participated.

Formation of over 20 elements, rhythmic section, brass section, strings, voices to host the greats of Italian and international Pop.
Soul Train Revolution
Inspired by the homonymous famous American music tv show, Soul Train R-Evolution is a line-up of 20 musicians whose repertoire focuses on 'Black Music' in its widest sense, coexisting the tradition of Soul, Funk, Jazz and African music, with elements of Neo-Soul, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Fusion and electronic music.
I Love Pizza by Serena Brancale
An ensemble that is not based on vocal power or technical and instrumental virtuosity, but on the inventiveness of musicians in creating innovative sounds out of the ordinary thanks to Loop stations, keyboards, Pads, effects and laptops for rhythmic and vocoder for singers.
Latin Louis Combo conducted by Natalio Mangalavite
16-element ensemble, together to perform the jazz repertoire with South American and Caribbean rhythms.
Synth Louis
Experimental ensemble that was born as a tribute to electronic music, synthesizers and more generally electronic musical instruments in all their forms, open to instruments, singers, drummers, electronic musicians.
Progressive Rock by Daniele Pomo
The history of 1970s Progressive Rock, British and Italian and contemporary Progressive: from Genesis to PFM to the last frontiers of Rock and beyond.
Twenty Guitars by Diego Cignitti
Ensemble composed exclusively of electric guitars that rereads the repertoire of the great history of Italian and international Rock. 20 guitars that play, explode, harmonize and dialogue. A wall of sound completely new.

Since 2012 Saint Louis has participated in the Erasmus + program, which offers the possibility to every student of Academic level to live periods of mobility in other European and Extra-European Higher Education Institutes for study or internship projects.
Each student can therefore benefit of a maximum of 12 months of study or internship abroad for each study cycle (12 months max in the three-year first cycle, 12 months max in the two-year second cycle of academic studies), choosing one's destination among a wide and excellent offer of foreign partners that Saint Louis has established and consolidated over time.
SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
European Jazz Contest, Italian Jazz on the Road, Italian Jazz C.R.E.A”, Minus One – Italian Jazz on the Road to… Tbilisi, Body Sound DiVision
Mostly fortnightly classes concentrated in 3-4 consecutive days. Mandatory attendance to the minimum extent of the 80% of the lessons.
FULL-TIME ATTENDANCE
Classes are mostly held with fortnightly cadence, organized in alternate weeks, with the exception of the instrument / singing lesson which can be organized at the student's choice on a weekly or fortnightly basis. About 300 hours of classes per year.
PART-TIME ATTENDANCE
Students who, for work or distance reasons, are unable to attend all the lessons provided for in the study plan can personalize their own study plan choosing how many subjects to attend from year to year. Part-time attendance implies a probable extension of the course of study beyond 3 years.

2. Realize the video clips for the pre-selection
Record one or more videos containing 5 songs, performed by you in a group (minimum trio), chosen from the list indicated under section "Admissions" within the Study Plan and Admission . Videos must be uploaded on YouTube or other similar websites and indicated as links in the application form.
3. Fill in the application webform and insert the links to the video clips
It is possible to submit an application form for the participation at the admission test to first and second cycle academic courses from the 3rd of February to 30th of April. Subsequent applications will only be considered on the basis of the remaining places available.
4. Wait for pre-selection results
Candidates who pass the pre-selection will be admitted to the admission tests, which will take place in June and September. International candidates can sit the admission tests earlier, from March until June.
5. Sit the admission tests
Admission tests are held in two to three consecutive days.
