Daniele Chiantese
Biography

Daniele Chiantese begins the study of drums, at the age of eight with Bruno Rizza; subsequently he enrolled at the Saint Louis College of Music, where he perfected himself under the guidance of Claudio Mastracci. He also studies with Maurizio De Lazzaretti, Pietro Iodice, Maurizio Boco, Gianni Oddi, Daniele Di Gregorio, Giorgio Gaslini, Valentino Di Bella.
As a session man he has active live and studio collaborations with Italian and international artists: Matthew Garrison, Bob Franceschini, Brett Garsed, Guthrie Govan, Dominic Di Piazza, Wojtek Pilichowski, Marek Raduli, Andreas Martelle, Ben Macdonald, Salvatore Russo, Saturnino, Daniele Di Gregorio, Achille Succi, Roberto Bonati, Pippo Matino, Rocco Zifarelli, Giulio Martino, Marco Brioschi, Giovanni Imparato, Alfredo Paixao, Davide Pannozzo, 4MX, Paolo Licastro, Peppe Barra, Dan Moretti, Lino Cannavacciuolo, Daniele Sepe, Riccardo Tesi, Vincenzo Zitiello. For ten years he has been the drummer of William Stravato's band.
He plays in many of the most important Italian Festivals: Recanati Award, Umbria Jazz, Pomigliano Jazz, Udine Jazz, Liri Blues, Spoleto Musica, Villa Ada Incontra Il Mondo, Eddie Lang Jazz Festival, Maggio Fiorentino, International Festival of Creativity, Folkhest. He recorded soundtracks for Rai TV and Rai Fiction and participated in several radio and television broadcasts (Radio Tre Suite, TG2 Costume and Society, Mizar, Domenica In, Cuccioli, Sereno Variabile, Radio1 Concerti Del Quirinale, La Befana Di Rai Uno).
As a clinician (guest conductor) and demonstrator, he has performed and still performing in the most prestigious European drum festivals as well as in all the major fairs and exhibitions in the music sector: London Drummer Live, Paris Bag' Show, Interdrum (Rottherdam), Muzyczna Owczarnia (Krakow), Frankfurt Musik Messe, Salon De La Musique, Reed Musik Messe, Musik Produktiv, Disma Music Show, European Bass Day, Rome Bass Day, Sound Expo, Sib, Sol Music. Interviewed and reviewed by numerous european press magazines in the sector (Drum Club, Percussion, Axe, Guitars, Musical Instruments, Sound&Light, Backline, Drummer, Sticks, Drum-Head, Drums&Precussion, Soundcheck, Batteur, Perqsja), he is engaged in the educational and social field. In 2006 he received the "Music For Children" award, recognized by Amref International together with the Piedmont Region. Rasmus Birk special guest.
