Giordano Corapi dopo essersi formato nello studio del basso elettrico con il M° Gianfranco Gullotto, si diploma in Composizione presso il Saint Louis College of Music sotto la guida del M° Gianluca Podio; nei 2 anni successivi come allievo dei M° Podio e del M° Ferdinando Nazzaro si specializza in Musica per Film.

In the cinema field, he made the music of several films including Guido Lombardi's "Take Five" (nominated for David di Donatello and the Nastro d'Argento in 2015; he won the Ciak d'Oro in 2015 and the Colonne Sonore.net award for best soundtrack in 2014).

Also for Lombardi, he made the music of the films "Il ladro di giorni" and "La Bas" (winner of the Leone del futuro – best first work – De Laurentiis Award- Venice Film Festival 2011). "L'amore a domicilio" and "Sulla Strada di casa" by Emiliano Corapi (with which he won the Roma Videoclip Award 2012 as best emerging composer) "Tito e gli alieni" by Paola Randi with Valerio Mastandrea, "Bob & Marys – Criminali a domicilio" by Francesco Prisco, with Rocco Papaleo and Laura Morante, "The Legend of Bob Wind" by Dario Baldi (with Corrado Fortuna , Ivan Franek, Lavinia Longhi), "Gomorroide" by Francesco Prisco and the Ditelo Voi.

In the Theatre field, since 2008, he collaborates with Gabriele Lavia, for whom he composes the music of several theatrical performances including "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare (with G. Lavia and Giovanna Di Rauso) with which in 2009 he was a finalist at the ETI – the Olimpici del Teatro 2009 as best author of incidental music, of August Strindberg's "Dance of Death" (with G. Lavia and Monica Guerritore) , of Moliere's "Il Malato Immaginario" (with G. Lavia, Pietro Biondi, Lucia Lavia), of "Tutto per Bene" (with G. Lavia, G. De Lellis, L. Lavia); of "Trappola" by Luigi Pirandello (with G. Lavia); of "The Pillars of society" by Henrick Ibsen (with G. Lavia, Federica di Martino): of "Sei Personaggi in cerca di Autore" by L. Pirandello (with G. Lavia, M. Pietramala); of "Autumn Symphony" by Ingmar Bergman (with Anna Maria Guarnieri, Danilo Nigrelli, Valeria Milillo), "Electra" by Sophocles (with Federica di Martino, Maddalena Crippa), "The Father" by August Strindberg (with G. Lavia, Federica di Martino).

In the field of artistic installations, since 2015 he collaborates with the Carla Fendi Foundation for which he has composed the music of several works exhibited and represented at the Festival dei due mondi in Spoleto.

Giordano Corapi compone le musiche per diversi cortometraggi pluripremiati tra i quali “Tana Libera Tutti” regia di Vito Palmieri (Miglior colonna sonora Genova Film Festival 2007; Miglior colonna sonora Margherita Short Movies Fest 2008; Miglior Colonna sonora Il Giardino dei Corti 2007; unico corto italiano in concorso al Festival International du Film d’Aubagne 2007 per il Gran Prix de la Musique), “Marta con La A” (vincitore del premio “note for the sound” Circuito Off – Venice International short Film).

Nel 2014 vince il premio Colonne Sonore.net come Miglior Compositore Italiano 2014.
