Preparatory exercises for the Walking-Bass
Practical workshop on automating chord changes. Progressive approach, in major and minor keys and in the twelve tonalities.
Study aimed at learning more about a transcription
Memorization of a transcription (e.g., of the first chorus of Red Garland's solo in Bye Bye Black Bird, from Miles Davis' work) by playing it on the record. Work will be done on adapting it for electric bass, choosing fragments and using them in other themes, as well as using metrical motifs with other notes, phrases in other keys, modifying phrases for using them in other harmonies.
