European Jazz Ensembles

As part of European Jazz's Cool, the live phase of the Saint Louis artistic residency of high jazz perfection ends with a third evening of concerts, protagonists Mauro Ottolini, one of the most important Italian musicians, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and brass specialist, national critics' "Top Jazz" award as "best Italian jazz musician" in 2012, and the refined vocalist Elisabetta Antonini with the ensembles formed by Italian and European students of Saint Louis and the most important European Conservatories, international partners of the project.

European Jazz's Cool is an innovative path of high musical improvement in the jazz field of European relevance conceived by the Saint Louis; a full immersion for professional and artistic development in a recording and concert context of wide international scope.

During the artistic residency six new musical groups were formed, composed of young Italian and European talents and artists, special guests, of international fame - who guided the young musicians along an intense path of composition and production of original music - which will make their debut right on the stage of the Casa del Jazz, to then leave for a European tour, hosted by the international partners of the project: Royal Academy of Aarhus Aalborg (Denmark) / Metropolia, Helsinki (Finland) / Royal Conservatoire Antwerp (Belgium) / SRH Berlin (Germany ) / Liszt Ferenc Academy Budapest (Hungary).

A real social and artistic experiment, in which the reference musician selects the members of his ensemble, with which to create a new musical work, produced by the Jazz Collection record label, and promoted by the management agency of the Saint Louis, which takes care of the digital publication, the subsequent writing of the musicians and the concert promotion in Italian and foreign jazz festivals.
