The Sound hanging from a Thread, Reference Cable Workshop curated by Angelo Tordini, Friday 9 February at Saint Louis.

second evening full immersion dayn to learn how to wire a band made up of drums, bass, guitar, vocals and keyboards, with a dedicated focus on each instrument. Angelo Tordini, Tech manager & Chief Designe di Reference Cables, will guide in setting up a complete set up, in collaboration with the students themselves, who will be able to bring their own instrument or microphone and cable with them, for more active participation.

  • Technical insights into the cable
  • Identity of an input channel list
  • Setting up an exhibition
  • Choice of microphones
  • Choice of cables for each source
  • Input cable channel list: where to identify, in addition to instruments, microphones, diboxes and direct outs, also and above all the balanced and unbalanced lines, choosing them for filter coherence
  • Line check
  • Start of test with workshop participants
  • Sound check
  • Standard lineup with a/b testing and recording
  • Listening to the recording with comments and insights
