Master by Paolo Fresu - We are Music. Experience the music in its collective dimension, focus on ourselves but pay attention to the companions on stage and off.

The master class curated by Paolo Fresu, open to all levels and to all types of instruments, includes moments of musical practice which the course participants can access.

Paolo Fresu Bio
He began studying the instrument at the age of 11 in the musical band of his hometown and after various experiences of pop music he discovered jazz in 1980 and began his professional activity in 1982 recording for RAI under the guidance of Maestro Bruno Tommaso and attending the Siena Jazz Seminars. In 1984 he graduated in trumpet at the Conservatory of Cagliari and in the same year he won the RadioUno jazz, Musica jazz and RadioCorriere T prizes as the best talent in Italian jazz. In 1990 he won the Top jazz award organized by the magazine 'Musica jazz' as best Italian musician, best group (Paolo Fresu Quintet) and best record (Arrigo Polillo award for the record 'Live in Montpellier'), in 1996 the award as best musician European through one of his works of the 'Académie du jazz' in Paris and the prestigious 'Django d'Or' as the best European jazz musician and in the year 2000 the nomination as best international musician. A long series of awards have followed one another to date, among which the honorary citizenships of Nuoro, Junas (France) and Sogliano Cavour and the Honorary Degree from La Bicocca University of Milan stand out.

Teacher and manager of several important national and international educational realities, he has played in every continent and with the most important names in Afro-American music of the last 30 years: F. He has recorded over 350 discs of which over 80 in his own name or in leadership and others with international collaborations (French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, Swiss, Canadian, Greek labels) often working with 'mixed' projects such as Jazz-Ethnic Music , World Music, contemporary music, pop music, early music, collaborating among others with M. Nyman, E. Parker, Farafina, O. Vanoni, Alice, T. Gurtu, G. Schüller, Negramaro, Stadio, etc.

Many of his record productions have obtained prestigious awards both in Italy and abroad. In 2010 he opened his own record label Tŭk Music.
He directs the Berchidda 'Time in Jazz' Festival, is the artistic director and teacher of the Nuoro Jazz Seminars and has directed the Bergamo international festival.
He has been a guest several times in large teams such as the 'G.O.N. - Great Italian Orchestra ', the ONJ - French National Jazz Orchestra, the NDR - the German Radio Orchestra of Hamburg, the Italian Instabile Orchestra, the PJMO of the Auditorium / Parco della Musica in Rome, the Rai Symphony Orchestra , the Verona Arena Orchestra, I Virtuosi Italiani and others.
He has also coordinated numerous multimedia projects by collaborating with actors, dancers, painters, sculptors, poets and writing music for films, documentaries, videos or for ballet and theater.
Today he is active with a myriad of projects that see him engaged for over two hundred concerts a year, almost in every part of the globe.

He lives between Paris, Bologna and Sardinia.
