Drummer Sasha Mashin will give a free masterclass introducing his in-depth drum study workshop.

In this first meeting dedicated to the students of Drums of all levels will address the right approach to the learning process: how to learn how to learn. What is the most efficient and fastest way to learn; how not to be a drummer but an all-around musician; how to "not waste time"... Literally and figuratively!

Sasha Mashin Was born in 1976 in St. Petersburg, Russia. In '91 he joined the jazz-club Kvadrat, where he met many St. Petersburg jazz musicians, and in '98 he moved to Moscow, where he collaborated with some of the best Russian jazz musicians. In 2005 Sasha Mashin participated in the Open World Program USA educational program in New York and played with such legends as Clark Terry, Kenny Barron and Jimmy Heath at the Blue Note Jazz Club.
He has been traveling all over the world with the Isfar Sarabski band since 2008. Sasha Mashin has performed with a long list of musicians such as Benny Golson, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Kenny Barron, Johnny Griffin, LewTabackin, James Spaulding, Eddy Henderson, Steve Slagle, Gary Smulyan, Larry Schneider, Mark Turner, Donny McCaslin, Rosario Giuliani, Alex Sipiagin, Isfar Sarabski, Dhafer Youssef and many others.
Since February 2022 he has lived in Italy and collaborated with Alex Sipiagin, Rosario Giuliani, Antonio Farao', Robert Bonisolo, Pietro Tonolo, Paolo Birro, Mauro Negri, Michele Calgaro, and Dado Moroni.
