EUROPEAN JAZZ’S COOL 2021 is a jazz artistic residency of international importance: a full immersion for professional and artistic development aimed at the insertion of participants in the national and international working circuit, record and concert.

Dan Hejslet The Danish trumpeter Dan Hejslet, is a big name in the Aalborg jazz scene. With its ideas and its powerful sound, it creates a strong and unique expression, which attracts the listener right into the music, removing the "fourth wall", so that the audience becomes part of the stage. Miles Davis, Palle Mikkelborg and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah ​​are his main influences.

Great Mudiare My name is Great Mudiare, I study at Saint Louis College of music, I love good music and good people.

Mattia Mauttini Venetian drummer, from an early age he undertook drum studies to follow his passion for music. The parallel study of congas, Brazilian percussion and blues guitar led him to develop his own multi-stylistic musical language.

Pietro Mirabassi With his sax performs in jazz and blues groups. In 2019, he won the first prize at the Premio Delle Arti group section, the first prize at the International Competition for Young Musicians in Treviso and recorded his first album of original songs with the group: !HECK!, participating in numerous jazz festivals.

Alessandra Diodati Singer and composer, born and raised in Rome, she began studying jazz vocals at the age of 11. She has performed with musicians such as Jacopo Ferrazza, Laura Taglialatela, Francesco Poeti, Achille Succi, and with Mario Corvini's Young Jazz Art Ensemble. She carries on the 'Watercolors' project, of her own original songs, with which she made her debut in 2020 with Stefano Calderano at 'Per Appiam '20'.

Alessandro Iachini Originally from the Etruscan citadel of Tuscania, Alessandro Iachini, 24 years old, is a guitarist in the Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori (National Orchestra of Conservatories) in Milan.

Enrico Valanzuolo Trumpeter, composer and arranger, he graduated in Jazz Music and In Jazz Trumpet at the Conservatory of Naples "San Pietro a Majella". He plays regularly in Jazz formations and is a member of the World Music group "Azul". He has taken part, as a soloist, in various theatrical pieces for important festivals, including the Campania Teatro Festival and the Maggio della Musica. In 2020, he formed a Jazz Quintet under his own name with which he recorded his first upcoming album.

Giuseppe Sacchi Italian-Colombian pianist, keyboardist, and sound designer who lives and works in Rome, Italy. Graduated in classical piano in 2015 and Master in sound engineering in 2017, he is currently studying Jazz Piano at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, continuously developing his playing style and compositional approach, ranging from different influences and cultures and integrating the classical and jazz tradition both live and in the studio.

Universal Language

Federico Bosio Jazz guitarist, he specialized in New York studying with great musicians including Mike Stern, Lage Lund, Mike Moreno, Gilad Hekselman, David Binney, Peter Bernstein and Wayne Krantz. In 2019, he recorded his first album containing 7 original songs, recorded at the prestigious studio "Artesuono" (UD) by Stefano Amerio and published by the "Dodicilune" label.

Giulio Tullio Founding member of the trombone quintet "Slide42 Trombone Ensemble" with which he obtained several awards in national and international competitions. In 2018 and 2019, he participated as a member of the "Sanremo Young Orchestra" on the occasion of the 10 live broadcasts on Rai1 of the Sanremo Young television program. Since 2018 he is a founding member of the group "Carovana Tabù" with which he participated in the final of the "Tomorrow's Jazz" 2020 competition of Veneto Jazz and with which he recorded the album "Point of View" ft. Fabrizio Bosso, Eric Marienthal and Davide Pezzin. In May 2021, he recorded, for Saint Louis College of Music, the album "Amore, Carcere e Invettiva nella Musica Popolare Italiana. A musical journey between Lazio, Campania and Sicily" under the musical direction of Maestro Vincenzo Presta. Since June 2021 he has been a member of the quintet (Seby Burgio, piano and keyboards – Sophia Tomelleri, tenor sax – Pietro Martinelli, electric bass and double bass – Martino Malacrida, drums) on tour with Elio in Italian theaters with the show about Enzo Jannacci "Ci vuole Orecchio", dramaturgy by Giorgio Gallione and musical direction by Paolo Silvestri.

Mirabassi Together

Alessio Mazzei Calabrian guitarist. He took his first musical steps in classic rock and then gave himself to jazz. In his projects over the years, he constantly found himself in a search for form and a sound experimentation that bring his style away from tradition. He is currently attending the last year of the jazz guitar specialization course and is engaged in projects of various kinds such as orchestras, small bands, musicals and in the composition of original songs.

Flavio Vegliante is a 27-year-old Roman bassist. After completing the three-year academic Pop course at Saint Louis College of Music, feeling like an incomplete musician, he decided to change course and undertake the two-year specialization in Jazz at the same Institute. In addition to this, he currently works as a session musician for various artists as well as recently as part of an orchestra.

Rosanna Mennella Interpreter and singer-songwriter, she began singing from an early age and in 2016 she deepened the study of Jazz, starting to work with different formations that range throughout the language of jazz influence: blues, swing, bebop, bossa nova, popular folk, songwriting.

She is the main voice of the project "La Giostra" of original songs, and their the album "Solerzia" will be released in 2021.

She is a soloist and chorister within the SPAM orchestra of San Pietro a Majella, with the conductor Mariano Patti in collaboration with maestro Marco Sannini, with whom she has performed in several important contexts: Ravello Festival, Palazzo Zevallos, Casa Lavazza, Institut Français of Naples. In July 2019, she won, together with the pianist Eunice Petito, the second place for the "Isolympia Prize 2019", V Edition.

She is currently involved in a songwriting project with the composer and arranger Marcello Massa, with whom she has produced a song entitled "La Ninna Nanna Dei Tulipani", of which she is the author of the text.

Laura Giulia Veltri is an Italian musician and composer. She takes part in numerous original music projects, both in Italy and abroad, collaborating with various artists. Laura is also a guitar teacher and arranger. During her internship in Aalborg at the Royal Academy of Music, she taught guitar and reading at first sight and attended courses oriented to her growing interest in arranging for large ensembles and composition. Laura currently lives in Denmark, where she is completing her Master of Music in Composition at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium in Aarhus.

Andrés FernándezTrombonist, composer, arranger, educator, has been part of prestigious projects such as Grupo Contrabando, Gabriel Rios, Score Man, Mangold del Cobre, Richard Bona and Mandekan Cubano, Big band of the American saxophonist David Murray. Andres has released three albums En Mi Habana (2007), Abriendo Caminos(2001) and COLORES (2017) with THE CUJAZZ. Andrés Fernández is currently a professor at the Conservatorium in Mechelen.

Damián Alvarez Castro was born in Cuba and lived in that musical country until he was 25 years old, working as a professional in groups like Aceituna sin Huezo, Javier 0es3, Yoyo Ibarra, Evolución and more, playing instruments such as the cajón flamenco, congas, bongoes, drums, djembe, darbuca and others. Then, 5 years ago, love brought him to Belgium, where he has worked with various musical groups like Organized Happiness, RHG Music, Díaz Lorente y más and in the theater play Pannonica in places like Bourla, Quako Festival, Dias Latinos, Cubalandz Festival in the Bozar and more.

Guillermo Gomez He's a talented Spanish saxophonist, who stands out for his musical expressiveness and his exceptional sound. Since the age of sixteen Guillermo's musical life has been very active-lively-vibrant-exciting and has been involved in numerous projects, some of which are: "Ninjazz Mission", "Jazz For Kids" or "CSMN Big Band", such as big band projects or "Oceanos (Julia Martinez)" as a small group. Some of these projects have been presented at important events such as the "Zaragoza Jazz Festival", the "Castejon De Sos Jazz Festival" and others.
