Italian Jazz on the Road is an idea blossomed and sustained by Saint Louis College of Music of Rome, the best known and renowned music didactic reality in Italy, with the contribution of MiBact (Italian Culture Ministry), which brought 40 young musicians in European tour, from Rome to London from Helsinki to Barcelona, from Maastricht to Aalborg.
An ambitious international cooperation project meant to offer a special outlet and a European opening to the new Italian jazz, debuting in September 2015 in Auditorium Parco della Musica of Rome.
8 are the participating groups, from duo to orchestra line-ups. Heterogeneous are the repertoires, for concerts in which jazz contaminates with funk, song-writing or Mediterranean.
