Jammin 'year 2012 an authentic and nuanced snapshot of the most current and innovative music.
An extemporaneous and curious look through jazz and songwriting, tradition and experimentation, up to the contemporary pulsations of avant-garde electronics.
New generations of artists on whom the spotlight and the attention of the public and critics are focused today, musicians and authors such as Laura Lala and Sade Mangiaracina, Sicilian award-winning for their extraordinary album of songs "Pure Songs", the reckless melodic talent of the guitarist jazz Gianluca Figliola and his record "It's strictly forbidden", MARinARIA, the whimsical twenty year old pianist Enrico Zanisi, first prize at the Franco Russo international piano competition and at the Chicco Bettinardi of Piacenza, with his project for CamJazz "Life Variations", the energetic Saint Louis Big Band directed by Antonio Solimene returning from four concert seasons throughout Italy, the visionary electronic music of Andrea Messina; all alongside internationally renowned musicians such as Flavio Boltro, Chiara Civello, Ivan Segreto, Pix Foil and Senking.
Jammin 'year 2012 to be discovered on the evening of 7 September
with the four finalists of the international jazz competition European Jazz Contest selected from the 74 bands admitted from all over Europe and the performance of the 2011 edition winner Benoit Berthe Back Quartet special guest Rosario Giuliani.
In a historical moment in which culture could become an injured party due to the choices of Italian politics, the Saint Louis and the Musica per Roma Foundation have continued, for many years now, to co-produce Jamming, because a different future it cannot ignore support for culture, new generations of talent and art.
The Saint Louis College of Music is a structure of international excellence active since 1976, directed for 15 years by Maestro Stefano Mastruzzi, with 1,800 young musicians from all over Europe, 120 teachers, 2 record labels, a real craft workshop where musicians, authors, artists, soloists and composers of today and tomorrow are born, grow, practice and assert themselves.
