The art of improvisation, between feeling and doing. An innovative ensemble conceived and directed by Paolo Damiani supported by Saint Louis, with concerts in Festivals and Theaters, chironomic direction, improvisation inside and outside the box, sound painting.

It is aimed at students, instrumentalists and singers interested in musical improvisation, not only with a jazz orientation. And it is therefore open to all students of Saint Louis: in fact, knowing how to improvise is not only useful in different professional contexts but is also decisive in the interpretation of music belonging to the heritage of so-called classical and contemporary, pop, rock music.

The laboratory provides for the collective creation of events made both of composite materials - by the teacher and members - and of freer paths, invented and experimented together.
Due ensemble:

I LEVEL_ open to instrumentalists and singers who have never had improvisation experiences. To participate, a fair knowledge of one's instrument is sufficient, it is not mandatory to know how to read music.

PRO LEVEL_ Specialization, reserved for instrumentalists and singers with good instrumental and vocal technique. The aim of this workshop is to create a solid and close-knit group, able to carry out a regular concert activity.
