Master class with Tollak Ollestad

The art of Songwiriting is the ability to blend together melody, harmony, form and lyrics.

The master class, held by Tollak Ollestad, proposes to go beyond the simple knowledge of these four components to arrive at a deep and instinctive understanding of them, without neglecting all those small details that make the difference in the final result.

In addition, together with Tollak, creative habits that unite good songwriters will be analyzed, from the working methods that allow the songwriter to add a high level of quality to the tools with which to promote the music product that's in constant and rapidly changing musical world.

Tollak Ollestad, Bio

Singer, composer, keyboardist and harmonica player, Tollak grew up in Seattle, but has lived, recorded and played all over the world. Over the years, he has used his many talents in many different musical situations, from television to cinema to live performances in concerts.

Ha suonato dal vivo e in tournée con artisti come Don Henley, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Jewel, Seal, Andrea Bocelli e David Foster ed ha partecipato alla registrazione di CD di artisti come Natalie Cole, Al Jarreau, Brian McKnight, Earth Wind & Fire, Bebe Winans, Dave Grusin, Gino Vanelli e Billy Idol. L’apprezzata armonica di Tollak è apparsa in molte registrazioni di musica classica ed è stata inserita nel tema dello show televisivo americano “Northern exposure”.

Tollak currently resides in the Netherlands, where he is working actively as a writer, session musician in the recording studio, music teacher and performer, performing in concerts throughout Europe. His latest album "Across the Rubicon", has just been released.
