Applications for admission to 1st and 2nd cycle academic courses for the next academic year are now open.
By April 30th you can send your registration request to the 1st and 2nd cycle academic courses for the academic year 2021/22 of the Department of Jazz & Popular Music, Composition and Film Scoring, Electronic Music, Sound Engineering, Songwriting and Applied Music.
The following procedure is valid only for participating in the Admission Tests to access directly in the first year of the three-year academic year of the 1st cycle or the two-year period of the 2nd cycle.
Enrolment in pre-academic courses starts every year from May 2nd and provides for a different procedure that you can consult at this link.
1. Consult the Admission Requirements and Study Plan section
Check that your preparation is in line with the skills required for the individual tests by accessing the "Admission requirements and study plan" section within the Department and Course of your interest.
2. Prepare or record videoclips for the pre-selection .
Record one or more videos containing 5 songs (3 tracks for the second cycle) performed by you in a group (minimum trio), chosen from the list indicated under the item "Admission" within the "Study and Admission Plan". Videos must be uploaded to YouTube or other similar web portals and indicated as links in the application form.
Note. International students interested in the courses of the Departments of Composition and Film Scoring, Electronic Music, Sound Engineering and Applied Music should send a link containing a portfolio.
3. Fill out the application for admission
It is possible to submit an application for participation in the entrance exam for 1st and 2nd cycle academic courses from February 3rd to April 30th. International students can apply from January 1st to Aprile 30th.. Subsequent applications will only be considered on the basis of the remaining places available.
4. Wait for the pre-selection results
Candidates who pass the pre-selection will be admitted to the admission tests, which will take place in June and September 2021. International candidates can sit the admission tests online, between March and June 2021.
5. Sit the admission tests
The admission tests (in presence) are held over two to three consecutive days in June and September 2021.
6. Proceed with registration.
Once the tests have been taken, in the event of a positive result, it will be possible to proceed with the payment of the registration fee.
N.B. Following the current health emergency, it is possible to send videoclips performed on good quality backing tracks. Sending videos created with a mobile phone will be valid as long as the audio quality is of a good level. Live recordings are also allowed. The Commission will make the pre-selections on the basis of the videoclips and will indicate which candidates will be admitted to the subsequent admission tests.
