Selection of Orchestra Musicians – Call “New languages for F.P Tosti”
The Saint Louis College of Music announces a nationwide search for orchestra musicians for the following instruments: male or female voice, guitar, bass or double bass, piano, trumpet, alto and tenor sax, drums
The call is aimed at the creation of a project resulting from the collaboration of two institutions recognized by their respective ministries: the Tostiano National Institute based in Ortona (CH) and the Saint Louis College of Music From Rome.
The project intends, through transcriptions, arrangements and performances, to propose to the public a different listening to some melodies composed by the famous musician Francesco Paolo Tosti. An album will also be created and presented on December 17th on the occasion of a prestigious concert in the city of Ortona.
The project
All participating musicians will receive one scholarship provided by the Tostiano National Institute. The scholarships are offered by the Istituto Nazionale Tostiano, an institute of national importance pursuant to L.534/96, active throughout the world.
Saint Louis will produce for the occasion a CD with related booklet containing the performance of all the songs, and which will be presented on the occasion of Gala Tosti, which will take place at F.P. Theater Toast in Ortona, on December 17, 2023.
In addition, Saint Louis will organize a concert in Rome for the presentation of the CD in a room or location of your choice.
Rehearsals will take place at the Saint Louis College of Music twice a week starting at 5.30pm from mid-October to mid-November and then recording will take place (precise dates and times will be communicated later).

The application, by mail, must include:
• – brief curriculum of studies (attached);
• – consent to the processing of personal data
• – Copy of an identity document;
• – Audio/video link on the channel of a musical performance
All candidates who meet the required requirements and are deemed suitable will be asked to attend an audition at the Saint Louis headquarters in Rome.
