MARIA PIA DE VITO
“Mind The Gap”
Guest at I hate the summer, acclaimed by the public and critics as the best jazz singer in our country, Maria Pia De Vito proposes herself to Villa Carpegna with a project with a strongly electric and rock soul, ready to trespass the genre at every bar change. “The gap is an unfilled space or an interval, a break in continuity. It is a difference between two views, or situations. To fill it we have to take a quantum leap. Move to another level of presence to yourself. Living the gap, observing it from the inside, creative tension is generated in that space. "

Wasabi 4tet
Wasabi Quartet a Odio estate is a musical and artistic project based on the sound relationship between the individual instruments, engaged in a timbre research that leaves room for the inspiration of the four components of the project, impromptu creators who find their group balance in the course of the performance. The quartet seeks the simplicity of speech and expressive efficacy, avoiding the most well-known solutions and operating in an essential and minimalist logic. The written parts are inspired by both the African American jazz tradition and traditional Indian and Middle Eastern music, to which are added elements taken from contemporary electronic music, Hip Hop and Jungle. Timbrically, Wasabi goes beyond the sum of its components, offering an articulated instrumental universe made up of saxophones, flutes, synthesizers, guitar, electric bass, drums and small percussion, often filtered by electronics. The Group's compositions are for the most part original, with the exception of some covers of 90s-grunge rock bands used as material for improvisation. Wasabi is aimed at listeners of all kinds, making it interesting to expert ears and at the same time attractive to the general public.

SAINT LOUIS BIG BAND
feat. JAVIER GIROTTO “Argentine Scenes”
Escenas Argentinas is a project born from an idea of the saxophonist Javier Girotto after listening to some Argentine songs arranged for big bands by an old friend of his from Cordoba, Gabriel Perez. Thanks to the collaboration of Luigi Giannatempo, Javier was able to transform the original pieces of the project for orchestral ensemble.
Girotto's compelling compositions, deeply imbued with the popular soul of his beautiful and troubled country, wear this new orchestral dress with style.
In June 2009 Girotto met the Saint Louis Big Band on the Auditorium stage during the Jammin 'Festival. Conquered by the energy of the staff, he decides to entrust him with the execution of his Escenas, which will soon be transformed into a new album.

RanestRane "Shining, Il Cineconcerto"
Live soundtrack of "The Shining", certainly one of the most important films in history, by Stanley Kubrick, one of the most acclaimed and innovative directors of the contemporary scene. To tackle this masterpiece without "disturbing" the sound / image relationship, the choice fell on aggressive, psychedelic, "claustrophobic" music, always maintaining the song formula, sudden changes and the continuous alternation of sung and instrumental parts, typical of RanestRane.

Like melted plasticine, it gives shape and warmth to the heart of those who know how to listen. A grunge sound, sometimes harsh, that screams anger and emotions.

PRIMITIVE ATOM
“Three Years Three Days”
An Urban 49 production
The signature is French, the lyrics speak English and the line-up is Roman: eclecticism is not lacking in this band. We move in a musical territory that tends to be alternative, but with the right amount of electronics: the result is a warm and enveloping mixture.
