Simone Maggio 4et | Cuerdas, recorded in July 2019, includes original songs and some moments of instant composition where I also use the harmonium, an instrument that in the past accompanied me in the study of Indian music.

Simone Maggio 4et | Cuerdas the project marked the beginning of a new phase in my musical journey, both as a composer and as an improviser. The presence of the violin in the quartet allowed me to express and find an even stronger contact with the European and contemporary tradition, strengthening my intention to express a music that has its own voice, that is free from conditioning, and that goes beyond languages and jazz styles.
