Between experiments and homages to the classics of improvised music, the "European Jazz's Cool" continues at the Casa del Jazz, the Artistic Residence scheduled until 31 October by the Saint Louis College of Music.
A cycle of events that aims to build an innovative path of improvement in the jazz field aimed at the inclusion of young musicians in the national and international working circuit, also using the experience of our important exponents.
Like keyboardist Alessandro Gwis who will lead the European Jazz Ensemble on Friday 29th, Gwis brings live all the experience built between Latin music, echoes of the European musical tradition, jazz and electronic, on Saturday 30th the "baton" of the ensemble will pass into the hands by Cristina Zavalloni leading voice of our experimental music in particular with her reinterpretations of the song form as in the case of the projects "Special Moon", dedicated to the moon, or "O Supersong" to the most beautiful song in the world!
On the 31st, after the meeting with Marcello Piras (11 am) in the cycle "Eight lies on jazz", in the evening the direction of the European Jazz Ensemble will be Rosario Giuliani, one of the protagonists of the Italian jazz scene as a sax performer and composer. Just remember the numerous recordings for Dreyfus including "Mr Dodo", "Anything Else", "Images" and the recent "The Hidden Side" and "Love in Translation".
