To build an innovative path of musical improvement in the jazz field aimed at the inclusion of young musicians in the national and international business circuit, also using the experience of great exponents of our jazz such as Paolo Damiani, Gabriele Mirabassi, Cristina Zavalloni.
This is the intent of "European Jazz's Cool", the Artistic Residence scheduled at the Casa del Jazz from 22 to 31 October by the Saint Louis College of Music. The goal is to create a path of artistic cohesion through the universal language of jazz and lead to the establishment of new musical formations of young talents with internationally renowned artists as special guests.
In this edition six European Jazz Ensembles will be formed which, after this experience, will perform in Italian festivals and in the five countries participating in the project.
On the evening of the 22nd the European Jazz Ensemble will see the composer and double bass player Paolo Damiani at the helm. On the 23rd the ensemble will be directed by Ramberto Ciammarughi, pianist and composer, with important collaborations with Steve Grossman and Billy Cobham behind him. Sunday 24, after the meeting (11 am) with the musicologist Marcello Piras in the cycle Ot-to lies sul jazz, at 9 pm the prince of the clarinet Gabriele Mirabassi will lead the European Jazz Ensemble.
