SAINT LOUIS, ON THE STAGE WITH MUSIC PROFESSIONALS

Thanks to the numerous resident bands, the Institute AFAM of Rome brings its students, from the earliest years
of studio, to share the stage with internationally renowned artists.

Always attentive to encouraging creativity, the exchange of ideas and collaborations, as well as the insertion into the working world, of its students, the Saint Louis offers numerous events, concerts and contests with which to test oneself from the first years of studies musical. Among the most important and formative experiences for a musician, there is certainly participation in resident bands. Each dedicated to a different genre and musical language - from Big band to Black Music to prog-rock and electronic music, with an orchestra composed exclusively of synths - the Saint Louis resident bands allow students to play together with
professional teachers, often also part of the band, and to share the stage with important guest artists at prestigious events and festivals.
Among the special guests who have participated in recent years there are names such as Diodato, M ° Peppe Vessicchio, Roy Paci, Saturnino, Serena Brancale, Javier Girotto, Kurt Elling and many others. Since 1976, Saint Louis has been one of the most renowned musical educational establishments of excellence in Europe, with over 1,800 students coming from every country each year. It boasts a permanent teaching staff made up of 120 nationally renowned teachers, directed since 1998 by Maestro Stefano Mastruzzi.
The training offer is among the largest in Europe, with more than 360 different courses. It has 5 offices in the heart of Rome, in the Rione Monti, between the Colosseum and Via Nazionale. It is equipped with 50 multifunctional classrooms, 5 recording studios for teaching and for record productions.
Starting from May, registrations for the new academic year 2022/2023 are open and pre-registration by May 31 allows you to take advantage of various advantages: reduced registration fee, priority in choosing the teacher and the time slot of lessons, greater ability to customize your lesson calendar.

Among the main novelties of the next academic year, a new important expansion, a new location also in the Rione Monti, with large classrooms for instrumental ensemble, auditorium, rehearsal rooms available to students and teachers to develop original projects, computer rooms of which one dedicated to original vintage synthesizers, the fourth recording studio for teaching the two-year course of sound technician, mastering and for record productions. In addition, the Professional Pool, a tool dedicated to the job placement of graduating students in the world of work, comes into full swing, specific for all departments of Saint Louis.
