From the collaboration between Saint Louis College of Music and the Teatro Eliseo was born "Special Guest festival 2017 edition", a creative project that involves internationally renowned artists and an extraordinary team of 350 young artists, musicians, arrangers, singers, sound engineers.

Special Guest is a gigantic work of enhancement and diffusion of jazz and popular music: 350 young artists of great talent who are offered the opportunity to live an extraordinary, professional and human experience, alongside international artists.

Saint Louis has designed and created a different work team for each concert, an artisan workshop with musicians, singers, arrangers, conductors, producers, sound engineers; all grown professionally within the music school, in the determined belief that the world of production represents a necessary completion of any artistic training.

Special Guest festival 2017 edition consists on:

• 14 great concerts with artists of national and international reputation, special guests of the extraordinary Saint Louis' resident bands and orchestras;
• 60 live performances at Eliseo Cafè for the Eliseo Contest;
• 6 days of thesis discussion and performances open to the public with 40 Saint Louis undergraduates in jazz music, popular music, electronic music; an opportunity to meet the ideas and projects of the new generations;
• informative meetings on the history of the protagonists of jazz on Sunday morning, with the screening of vintage films and extraordinary contributions of unpublished audio recordings, special guest: Adriano Mazzoletti.
